What are corns?
Corns are a thick layer of hardened skin that appears in order to provide protection and resistance in an area of the foot where we exert continuous pressure or a lot of friction.
It is, therefore, dead skin with a central nucleus formed by hardened keratin, which, when exerting a footprint, causes great pain. Corns usually appear under the heel, or in the area of the bunions, that is, on the big toe.

It does not matter if your shoes are high heels or comfortable sports shoes. Corns can make an appearance with all types of footwear and at any age .
Nor can we ignore that each person has a particularity, a type of foot and a greater or lesser sensitivity.
Why do they appear?
Although, on many occasions, we associate the appearance of corns with age, the truth is that some of the causes for which corns develop are:
The shape of the shoe: The more pointed the shoes, the greater the probability that calluses will appear.
The type of footwear: We must also be careful with the number of hours we spend at the end of the day with very closed footwear.
Foot anatomy: If you have bunions, you most likely suffer from them on a regular basis. If you have what is known as a “Greek foot”, that is, the second toe that is longer than normal, there is also the possibility that you have to deal with the problem of corns.

Benefits of milk to get callus-free feet
Milk has been a part of our diet for a long time. Leaving aside the fact of whether we are intolerant or if we digest it poorly, it is now a tradition to incorporate it into our daily nutrition.
However, if there is one thing that the Romans and Egyptians knew since time immemorial, it is that milk baths help maintain young , smooth and beautiful skin .
Many laboratories are currently working on designing wonderful beauty products that include lactic acid. Lactic acid improves skin texture and hydration level. It is an alpha-hydroxy acid that removes dead skin cells and renews them.
In fact, it is capable of reaching the deepest layers to cleanse and tone, and that is why it stands as an ideal remedy to get feet without calluses. You can complement its use with a product that acts as an exfoliant (oatmeal, salt …).
Remedy with milk and salt to get feet without calluses
Ingredients
1 liter of milk
3 tablespoons of olive oil (about 50 g)
100 g of coarse salt
Preparation
First we will heat the milk, without it boiling. We must leave it at a warm temperature , where it is pleasant to submerge our feet, without getting cold but without burning.
Prepare a container in which you can calmly dip your feet and stay that way for 20 minutes . Try to relax.
When the lactic acid is already inside our skin and has softened that area where we have corns, we go on to exfoliate the skin of the feet.
To do this, we are going to mix the olive oil with those 100 grams of coarse salt in a container. Once you have it ready, place this mixture in your bath mitt.
We are now going to those rougher and more problematic parts of the foot, where, in general, calluses are located: the sole of the foot or the small or big toes. Gently exfoliate with our coarse salt and olive oil blend.
Once you’ve finished massaging with your mitten, dip your feet back into the tub of warm milk to remove the olive oil and salt from your feet.
For this remedy to take effect and you can show off your feet without calluses, you should perform this treatment before going to sleep . Once you’ve dried, put on some comfortable socks.
