Likewise, they indicate that “the skin of the eggplant contains an anthocyanin, nasunin, with antioxidant action”, therefore, the ideal would be to consume it with everything and your skin.

Taking the above into account, eggplant water stands out as a simple  remedy for weight loss. It is fat-free and has hardly any calories. Its content in water, fiber, vitamins, antioxidants and minerals, provide purifying, diuretic and detoxifying properties, so it can be considered a healthy drink.

Knowing how to take it, it can become an essential help to gradually reduce that annoying fat in the abdomen. It should be borne in mind that the intake of water itself before meals has been shown to be able to reduce appetite. If we also add eggplant, the effects will be greater.

It is not necessary (nor is it recommended) to go hungry or limit yourself for a few days to drink this drink to lose weight. In this way, we will only be able to expose our health and reduce vitality and well-being in the short and long term.

We must always be clear that to lower abdominal fat with eggplant water – or rather, lose those extra kilos – we are going to have to change our lifestyle habits. That is, drinking eggplant water will only work if we eat a balanced diet and do at least half an hour of exercise a day. First of all, you must be clear that you have to drink aubergine water in moderation within a suitable diet to combat abdominal fat. Also, you must take into account the following:

  • While you consume it, the ideal is that you begin to reduce (or directly eliminate) the consumption of industrial beverages (from flavored waters and soft drinks to alcoholic beverages), since these are enemies of health and figure.
  • You can add a few drops of lemon to give it a more pleasant taste.
  • You should not add sugar, stevia or any sweetener, otherwise, it will not help you lose weight but the other way around.
  • Important note Raw eggplant is toxic as it contains an alkaloid called solanine that can cause vomiting and diarrhea.

  • Take a medium aubergine, wash it well and cut it into cubes.
  • Now take a jar that is dark and add half a liter of water, adding the eggplant cubes in turn.
  • You should let it rest overnight, hence it is recommended to do it from one day to the next, taking advantage of the night so that it macerates properly.
  • You can serve it fresh and with a little lemon juice. The flavor will be more special and you will add a higher dose of antioxidants.
  • If you prefer that your drink is a little thicker, you can make it with a greater amount of eggplant (and that this has been previously smoked) and add a touch of turmeric. In this way, you will get a very satiating drink with a high antioxidant content.
  • Another option to enjoy aubergine water is to prepare it only with its skin, just as it is done with pineapple.
  • Keep in mind that the fiber in this drink, together with the polyphenols, will be able to increase the feeling of satiety, which will stimulate the oxidation of fats. This is evidenced by a study published in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition.
